Soccer Academy

2024-25 Registration Open!

Eugene Reimer Middle is excited to announce that the Reimer Soccer Academy is ready to go for the eighth year this September 2024!  The academy will be for students in grades six through eight, competing in the U11-U14 range.

Through participation in the soccer academy, students will have the opportunity to develop a range of technical soccer skills coupled with a unique educational experience.  Students will learn soccer from certified coaches and teachers and will receive support, not only in maintaining a healthy balance of on field technique, theory and training, but also learn to become leaders in the classroom.

Some unique features of the Reimer Academy is that we offer more than just soccer drills.

In addition, 2 on-the-field skill sessions per week, and there will also be bi-weekly classroom sessions where the following topics will be covered:

  • Technical Skills focussed sessions
  • Physical Development/Movement sessions
  • Tactical/Game focussed sessions
  • Classroom/Theory-focussed sessions
  • Free play/Self Discovery sessions
  • Player video tape analysis
  • On-going player assessments  (ie. player report sheets)

Registration for the Soccer Academy is available to students who are currently a member of an organized community soccer team.  Registration is open NOW for the 2024/25 school year! 

The deadline for registration is JUNE 26th.

JUNE 26th:  Deadline for successful applicants to submit the Soccer Academy payment form into the School Office

SEPTEMBER 12th:  Applicants with a deferred status are reviewed pending space in the Academy.  Deferred applicants will be notified as to the status of their application.  After this date admission is closed.

How to Join our Soccer Academy

  • Complete the Soccer Academy Application Form Online
  • All applicants must have soccer experience on a local soccer association team.
  • All applicants must be registered to participate on a league team in the upcoming fall season.

Please note that because participation in the soccer academy is considered to be part of the curriculum, fees are not eligible for tax purposes.
