Literacy Enhancement
Our school was pleased to welcome a literacy expert who co-taught in classrooms and worked alongside staff to strengthen instructional practices. Through targeted modeling, collaborative planning, and in-the-moment coaching, this specialist supported both students and teachers in developing effective literacy strategies. Their work helped build a consistent, research‑informed approach to reading and writing across the school, ultimately enhancing student engagement and achievement.
We have been working intentionally to strengthen outcomes for our developing readers by implementing interactive, leveled literacy groups designed to provide targeted, responsive instruction. These structures allow students to engage with appropriately scaffolded texts and evidence‑based strategies, ensuring they acquire the foundational literacy skills necessary for long‑term academic success and lifelong learning.
