Band Fundraiser - MusicFest Nationals

We're excited to launch our FundScrip fundraiser to help our ERMS Band students raise money for their upcoming trip to MusicFest Canada Nationals in Calgary in May 2027!

Travelling to Nationals is an incredible opportunity for our young musicians, but it also comes with significant costs. FundScrip is a fantastic way for families to help offset these expenses simply by purchasing gift cards for things they already buy!

What is FundScrip?

FundScrip is a fundraising program that allows you to purchase gift cards for everyday spending while earning money toward our students' Nationals trip!

For example, when you purchase a $100 grocery gift card, you receive the full $100 to spend on groceries, but a percentage of your purchase is returned to us as fundraising proceeds. You don't spend anything extra!

With over 250 retailers to choose from, including grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and popular retailers, it's an easy way to turn your regular shopping into fundraising dollars!

How to Order

1. Visit our FundScrip ordering page: https://ordering.fundscrip.com/Y4HS64
2. Browse the available retailers and select your gift cards.
3. Use the "Filters" option to choose between physical and electronic gift cards.
4. Complete your order!

Physical vs. Electronic Gift Cards

• Electronic Gift Cards: Typically available to use within a few hours of purchase! A great option for everyday shopping or last-minute gifts.
• Physical Gift Cards: Perfect for holiday gifts or regular shopping! The cost of any physical gift cards ordered will be added to your School Cash Online account for payment. Physical gift cards will be available for pickup at the school in early December, just in time for the holidays! Families will be notified when their orders are ready for collection.

Supporting a Specific Student's Nationals Trip

If you'd like your FundScrip purchases to support a specific student's Nationals trip costs, please follow the instructions below so we can ensure the funds are allocated correctly.

For Physical Gift Card Orders:

Please include the student's name in parentheses in the Last Name field when placing your order.

For example:

First Name: John
Last Name: Smith (Susy Smith)

For Electronic Gift Card Orders:

Unfortunately, electronic gift card purchases do not provide an option to amend the purchaser's name. If you'd like your electronic gift card purchase to support a specific student, please send me an email after placing your order with the purchaser's name and the name of the student you'd like to support.

The purchaser's name should be sufficient for me to locate the order and ensure the fundraising proceeds are credited toward the intended student!

Not Attending Nationals? You Can Still Participate!

FundScrip is open to all ERMS Band families, not just those attending Nationals! If your student isn't travelling to Calgary, you're still more than welcome to participate. Fundraising proceeds that aren't designated toward a Nationals student will go toward supporting our ERMS Band program, helping us continue to provide meaningful musical experiences and opportunities for all our students.

November–December Bonus Promotions! 🎄

Just in time for the holidays, FundScrip is offering some fantastic bonus fundraising percentages!

For example, White Spot is offering a whopping 15% back! That means a $100 White Spot gift card earns $15 toward fundraising, while you still receive the full $100 to spend!

Be sure to check out the attached November–December Promotions flyer for more opportunities to maximize your fundraising!

Order Deadline: Monday, November 23, 2026

Please ensure your orders are submitted by this date. Payments for physical gift cards will be collected through School Cash Online or can be submitted via Cheque.

Share With Family and Friends!

One of the best things about FundScrip is that anyone can participate! Share our ordering link with grandparents, relatives, friends, coworkers, and neighbours. Whether they're buying groceries, filling up their gas tank, or getting a head start on holiday shopping, their everyday purchases can help support our young musicians!

Every gift card purchased makes a difference, whether it's helping a student get to Nationals or supporting our band program right here at ERMS.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping us make these incredible musical opportunities possible for our students!
